How To Get To Copenhagen:

Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup; CPH) is the main international airport serving Copenhagen. Copenhagen’s airport has direct flights from many cities within Europe and from some intercontinental flights. The airport is located on the island of Amager. You can use train, metro or taxi to get to the city center. For more information about Copenhagen Airport please visit

By Metro to and from the airport

The Metro station is located at the end of Terminal 3. The Metro operates at 4-6 minutes’ intervals during the day and at 15-20 minutes’ intervals during the night. The travel time to the Nørreport Station in central Copenhagen is 15 minutes. Tickets for the Metro are available at the Metro station and at the DSB ticket sales counter in Terminal 3. Please note that the ticket machines accept only coins and cards such as the Dankort, VISA, etc., not notes. The airport is the terminal station of the M2 line, which means you can board any metro. Make sure you are at the Metro station though; there are other trains that leave from the airport.

By train to and from the airport

The ticket office is located in Terminal 3 above the railway station. There are lifts and escalators between the platforms and Terminal 3. Take the train towards Copenhagen Central Station. Train departs every 10 minutes. You can take the free shuttle bus which runs between parking lot P1 and Terminal 3, where the station is located. The bus journey lasts about 5 minutes. By bus to and from the airport

There are several buslines to and from the center of Copenhagen. There are also free terminal
busses which run frequently between terminals in Copenhagen Airport.

By taxi to and from the airport

There are both drop-off zones when you get take a taxi to the Airport in Terminals 2 and 3. If you
wish to take a taxi from the airport, you can do it from terminal 3. The journey takes approx. 15-20 minutes. It will cost approximately DKK 250-300.

Public Transportation

The public transportation in Copenhagen is very reliable, punctual, and it takes you everywhere. In Copenhagen the trains, Metro and busses (including waterbuses) can be accessed with the same ticket. All you need to know is how many zones you will pass on your journey.
The metro is in service all day and all night, every day of the week. There are 2-4 minutes between each train during rush hour, and 3-6 minutes outside rush hour and during the weekends. Friday and Saturday night (after 01:00) trains arrive with a 7-15 minutes interval and a 20 minutes interval after midnight on weekdays (Sunday through Thursday). Always have your ticket with you in case a conductor wants to see it. Travelling without a valid ticket will result in a fine of up to DKK 750. 

 

Visa information

Entry formalities for Denmark vary according to the country of origin. There are no visa
requirements for Schengen countries. Other conference delegates are asked to address enquiries about entry to the travel agent or to the local Danish Embassy / Consulate / Representation in the home country. All foreign citizens must be the holder of a valid passport.
